Course Summary
This 3-day BRCGS Consumer Products Issue 4 Auditor training course will provide you with an in-depth understanding of both of the BRCGS Standards for Consumer Products – Personal Care and Household and General Merchandise.
It is designed to equip delegates with the skills and knowledge to successfully audit against Issue 4 of the standard.
This course is part of the BRCGS Professional recognition programme.
Key learning objectives
Understand the reasons for changes to the Standard, including industry developments
Understand the requirements for each of the Standards – both at Foundation and Higher level
Comply with auditor requirements and how the BRCGS audit process should be carried out and reported
Understand the role of the BRCGS compliance programme
Have gained the skills required to conduct a BRCGS audit to either Standard, and write a correct and full audit report
Who should attend
Auditors (with a Lead Assessor qualification*)
*Those interested in becoming a BRCGS Auditor and who do not yet hold a Lead Assessor qualification may choose to attend the 5-day Food Lead Auditor Training course instead of the 3-day Auditor course
Pre-requisites
To have carefully reviewed the 2 Consumer Products standards - General Merchandise & Personal Care and Household (appendices & glossary included) before the course starts. You can download free (locked PDF) copies of the standards here and here.
To have working knowledge of quality management systems and auditing within the relevant manufacturing sector
To have completed a hazard and risk management course (minimum 2 days’ duration)
