๐ฅ๐ผ๐ผ๐ ๐๐ฎ๐๐๐ฒ ๐๐ป๐ฎ๐น๐๐๐ถ๐ and ๐ฒ๐ณ๐ณ๐ฒ๐ฐ๐๐ถ๐๐ฒ ๐ฐ๐ผ๐ฟ๐ฟ๐ฒ๐ฐ๐๐ถ๐๐ฒ & ๐ฝ๐ฟ๐ฒ๐๐ฒ๐ป๐๐ถ๐๐ฒ ๐ฎ๐ฐ๐๐ถ๐ผ๐ป๐ (CAPA) are at the very heart of the BRCGS standards.
Therefore, if and when in your BRCGS Food Safety audit you receive the same NC as in a previous BRCGS audit, the auditor will raise that NC (without escalating it, ie if it was a minor, it will again be a minor), ๐ฃ๐๐จ๐ฆ ๐๐ต๐ฒ๐ ๐๐ถ๐น๐น ๐ฟ๐ฎ๐ถ๐๐ฒ ๐ฎ๐ป ๐ฎ๐ฑ๐ฑ๐ถ๐๐ถ๐ผ๐ป๐ฎ๐น ๐ก๐ ๐ฎ๐ด๐ฎ๐ถ๐ป๐๐ ๐ฐ๐น๐ฎ๐๐๐ฒ ๐ญ.๐ญ.๐ญ๐ฎ, to indicate that the siteโs senior management has failed to address effectively and permanently an NC previously raised.
To help clients and students remember this particularity of the standard and put in place effective CAPAs, I call 1.1.12 the โBOGOF clauseโ (Buy One, Get One Free !!) ๐ย
